Born in Glossop, Derbyshire,[4] Vincent joined Stockport County aged just eight.[4] In 2005 he joined the Centre of Excellence youth system at Stockport, before making his first team debut just two years later as a substitute in a 1–0 win over Brentford on the last day of the 2007–08 season.[5] In the 2008–09 season he became more regular and he scored his first goal for the club on 18 November 2008 in a 5–0 win over Yeovil Town in the FA Cup.[6] In May 2011 he was informed that he would not be offered a contract by the club for the 2011–12 season.[7]
In June 2011, he joined Conference National outfit Kidderminster Harriers on a one-year contract.[4]
